For the location of the campsite, I would give it a good 4 stars, but everything else on the site is poor to impossible conditions and in no way justifies the price of more than 23 €. Pity! We have moved to the free parking space in Ingelheim.

An absolute zero star place. The allocation of space was a disaster, permanent parking spaces were indistinguishable from short-term vacation spaces, so there were conflicts with permanent campers. Garbage disposal not available and the toilet paper. The sanitary facilities were also the absolute horror. (I don't want to go into that) Very expensive for that.

It's always nice to sit here and enjoy the sun, even in autumn and early spring. Food and drinks very tasty. .... Always worth a visit.

Got peppered schnitzel with chanterelle sauce after 1 hour, didn't taste good. When I asked if the order was lost, I received a sloppy answer at cash desk 1. Outlook is ok.

I went just for dinner and a nice wine in the afternoon, and it’s a really nice place! Amazing view and the food is good and normal prices, I was in the same place last year and they even had live music. I highly recommend the place for spending the afternoon, be aware and bring cash! The closest ATM was 15min by bike

A really idyllic place where you can spend a few nice hours right on the water. The associated gastronomy offers a large selection of drinks as well as tasty little things to eat!

Very nice! This afternoon Playground, that is Heike Maschemer and Bernhard Wurth, played there again. That makes a good atmosphere! The Inselrhein itself is a nicely arranged ensemble of a large tent, usually open at least on one long side, and outdoor seating directly on the Rhine. The selection of drinks and food is very varied and very tasty.

We just wanted to have a coffee. 2 p.m. on Sundays, coffee machine defective, repair not in sight. We'll be out again. Too bad.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Sunset with a view of the Rhine. Honest food at reasonable prices. Also cheap drink prices! I'll be back!

The most expensive campsite far and wide on the Rhine route for so little content. You have to have toilet paper with you. Dozens of dead insects in the washrooms and cockroaches here and there. Just disgusting. The food was ok for that.

There are a fraction of good seats in the first row on the bank. But unfortunately the rest of the place is crammed full and overcrowded. Sanitary facilities are shabby and dirty (only 1 area for the whole campsite). In general, the place makes a very uncomfortable impression.

First of all, the food was really nice and the view was really good. Also the price you're paying is really great. But that was it. The toilets and showers where really dirty. Not just some small amount of insects, a lot of them! I was always on watch to not get a spider crawling on my face, while sitting there. And for the kindness of the employees (I only experienced the female ones) there, it was the lowest. Even the contact via email was harsh, like they don't care if you are coming or not. Just the guy who introduced us to where we can settle down was really kind and had the intent to help us. Really cool guy, hope you understand that you are meant haha. I felt really unwanted as a guest when I ordered food. It was not just me, the female workers were even unfriendly to elders. Totally a no go. It was my first day there and maybe my last. In conclusion it's great, if you don't stay too long but I wouldn't recommend it for more then 1 day. Thanks for reading.

My rating for the campsite. Pros: location, food, drinks were good. Price ok. Negative: Stone Age sanitary facilities (have they ever been cleaned?), Rude service in the restaurant (especially the ladies). Really unprofessional. The contact by email wasn't exactly polite either, but for me it was still acceptable. For that reason only 3 stars.

Unfortunately the contact was very rude. E-mails are only reacted to sporadically and one is treated extremely rude on the phone. I understand that the current flood of emails is difficult to cope with, but a degree of courtesy and respect should be maintained. We finally drove to another place nearby, where we received an extremely warm welcome.

Very nice location and good food, but one of the waitresses treated you rudely, he said you shouldn't eat here because you were "undesirable". I hope the management can ensure that this young man treats the guests in a more friendly manner in the future.

The location is very nice right on the Rhine. We arrived relatively late so we couldn't enjoy this. The showers were fine. There were no towels in the toilet to dry off. The prices were a bit expensive.

4 € for a bottle of water is an absolute insolence, what's the point !? Not even a euro in purchasing. One employee only said that "one joy, the other suffering" and his boss wouldn't care anyway.

A great place, you sit great on the Rhine. Unfortunately, the staff seemed very unfriendly, which was often a table discussion yesterday in various places. In particular, if you accidentally lined up in the wrong queue to eat, you were stared at. But you can work on that :-) And for those who are hungry: there is only food at the cash register!

The campsite is beautifully situated on the water and has a great view. Now the reason for the one star. The website says that camping is always possible and the reason is obvious. You have no shadow in the smallest area and share the space with cars that are visitors in the beer garden. The showers are praised as modern and new on the website, but they look more like an emergency solution. No toilet paper and trash can available. We generally like the idea of ​​taking rubbish back with us, but the trash can is simply delivered in front of the restaurant without a trash can. There are no washing-up areas either, so washing-up is simply done on the spot by the running tap, which is not particularly environmentally conscious. Paying 23 euros for this is somewhat inappropriate.

Arrived and was met by a pleasant young man who showed us to our pitch and explained the special rules around covid19. We've right on the bank of the river and while we can't get in it right there, 100m away is a beach.... We even got a special rate for parking up our motorhome and trailer of 99 euro for the week all inclusive. Bargain!

Would actually be a nice place to stay. However, the tenant is not a good host, but unloads his neighbors with a poster. They probably pointed out grievances, now he calls them informers. This year, I will therefore no longer be visiting on a regular basis. Maybe there will soon be a new tenant and a new start. In his answer, the operator speaks of himself in the third person. So you can distance yourself from yourself. Yes, he is welcome to find a place for himself.

Unfortunately can not give less than one star. After 4 months camping in Europe this place wins the worst camp ground award. Just don't.

Tolle Location

The positive reviews here are mostly for the beer garden which is basic but lovely views and a good range of food. The camping area is not nice, the toilets and showers are unclean and in bad condition. Camping is very expensive considering the lack of facilities.

Don't stay here if you are cycling! Tents are close to the biergarten, music till 1am. Dirty festival toilets, no wifi and they charge 15 euros
